Jim Thompson  was born and raised in Calgary Alberta Canada. At the age of five, Jim's father was developing the basement of their half duplex home in Thorncliff with young Jim right by his side watching and learning. Jim picked up a hammer, some nails,  two pieces of wood , and began nailing one piece of wood to the other making a perfect ninety degree angled cross. Upon finishing his two older siblings, sister and brother, both grabbed the cross and began fighting over who would be the owner. Jim immediately constucted another and offered it to them pleading with them not to fight with each other. His sister and brother stopped squabbling and took their crosses to their respective corners, and from that day forward Jim has never stopped building both projects and relationships.

Throughout the twenty one years of his professional career, Jim has worked on over 2000 high profile projects throughout Canada, and has been awarded contracts based on his knowledge and skills alone. 

Jim is now 38 years of age and still resides in Calgary. He still has a huge passion for building  and teaching others the joy that comes from mastering a skill.
